is a journal that began in 1974.

At that time, I wanted to create a physical record of various ideas thru text and pictures that were placed - using chance operations - in blank books. These diary inserts had reminded me of the zen garden of Ryoanji and thus the concatenation  of those terms was created and has been used ever since.

This manner of working resembled an earlier collection of mine from the late 60’s that was created in a similar manner, but the source of the inserts were the  drawings and text of the anthropologist robert leroy ripley.

With this collection, it would be nice to obliterate any ideas of chronology so as to not be enslaved by linear thought,

but this may prove to be  a difficult undertaking considering that it is quite natural to comment on A particular world development that pinpoints a definitive moment in time.

Still, there will be references to

and/or actual media selections of compositional works of mine that  will come from just about any time period within the last forty years.
